Our Purpose
|
What is the purpose of the Idaho
All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Association?
|
 |
To foster, promote and enhance the use of ATVs for recreational purposes
in the state of Idaho. |
 |
To educate, encourage and promote the safe and responsible use of ATVs. |
 |
To organize and sponsor ATV rides and events. |
 |
To cooperate with public land management and/or regulatory agencies, but
always reserving the right to oppose regulations or actions the Association
considers unfair and/or not serving the best interest of the members |
 |
To sponsor the enactment of fair state, federal and private land use laws
and regulations pertaining to the ownership and operation of ATVs. To
actively oppose such laws and regulations as determined to be detrimental to
the best interests of the members. |
 |
To actively seek out and build mutually beneficial relationships with
other recreational users of public land. |
Working Together
Here are a couple of photos that demonstrate how Mountain Sheep and even cows are not
affected by ATV riders. These photos were taken in the Owyhees in 2004 by one
of our members. This shows that we can live and play in the same area
together! All we want are the existing roads and trails be left open
for all to use.
